Nova Pádua

Only Rio das Antas separates Nova Roma from Nova Pádua. We can say that is necessary to cross to the other town to see the best views of each one. The crossing is through a raft because there is not a bridge to link both sides of the valley. This a great option for who wants to observe the river. The crossing takes about five minutes, but it can take a little longer for those who want to enjoy the most. Grifante brothers have been making this crossing for fifteen years. They pull the raft with the strength of their arms. A steel cable links one margin to the other, working as a support for the displacement of the raft. Across the river, the road leads to high places, from where it is possible to see Fiorense cascade, in Nova Roma. Going through the countryside it is possible to find waterfalls, which can be 20 meters high.
