Know a little bit more about the history of Farroupilha and the Italian immigrants by visiting the museums Casa de Pedra and Casal Mosquetti, and Nova Milano community (Cradle of Italian immigration).

It is located on Domênico Fin St., Nova Vicenza neighborhood. It is a Stone house, built in 1896, used initially as residence by Fin family, and it was also used as commercial house.

The museum has a collection of utensils, furnishings and domestic tools, portraying the life of Italian colonization, besides documents and objects from Farroupilha’s history.

The street in front of it was the big axis of commerce in town in the beginning of the century and it only lost importance after the opening of Estrada de Ferro and Estrada Júlio de Castilhos (two roads) in 1911.

The museum was stablished by the Municipal Law 1.321/83, from September 27th, 1983. It is Historical and Artistic Patrimony of the State and it is coordinated by Education, Culture and Sports Municipal Secretariat.
